There are some reasons you might want to avoid Raindrop Massage or consult with your doctor first. If you are pregnant or lactating you should wait until after your pregnancy and consult a doctor before coming for in for this type of massage. Someone with a chronic disease should always consult with a doctor before getting a massage, to make sure massage is the right thing for you and your health. The same process and care should be taken with the Raindrop Massage as well. Any recent surgeries and injuries should be handled the same way as with chronic illness above. Consult your doctor first before getting any type of massage if you have had any injury or surgery recently. People with sensitive skin and who tend to react to strong smells and or heat may also want to avoid Raindrop Massage. We can always do a patch test before we start the massage, but if you know you have sensitive skin I would let your therapist know before hand and they will use less essential oil or more carrying oil. There should be no discomfort throughout this massage, so if you do experience any discomfort please let your therapist know immediately and we can fix the discomfort with the carrying oil.
